LTG Marciano Norman first Indonesian in NDU’s Hall of Fame

NDU Hall of Fame ceremony on ISMO Patio

Students, faculty, and special guests gathered to honor LTG Norman at the outdoor ceremony.

Lieutenant General Marciano Norman was inducted into NDU’s International Fellows Hall of Fame in a ceremony at Ft. McNair on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.  LTG Norman is the current Chief of the Indonesian State Intelligence Agency (BIN), a Cabinet-level position within the Indonesian Government.  He is a member of the NWC Class of 2006 and the first Indonesian to be inducted into NDU’s Hall of Fame.

The ceremony was held outdoors at the Richard A. Chilcoat International Student Center patio area–the first ceremony to be held outdoors–and was attended by many distinguished guests, including LTG Norman’s wife, children, and grandchildren, leadership of BIN, and Dr. Dino Patti Djalal, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the United States.  Following the ceremony, the audience enjoyed a meal of Indonesian food courtesy of the Indonesian Embassy.  NDU is proud to honor this distinguished alumnus and recognize his accomplishments through induction into the Hall of Fame.
